Elizabeth Lupher, BSN, RN is a clinical quality nurse in the department of Quality Benchmarking and External Reporting at Trinity Health (formerly St. Joseph Mercy) Ann Arbor Hospital. She received her bachelor’s education in nursing at Madonna University in Livonia, MI. Elizabeth is the HMS sepsis data abstractor for both Ann Arbor and Livingston hospitals. Her clinical background lies in cardiac progressive care with (now Corewell) William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak before joining Trinity Health, where she held roles in outpatient care management for the geriatric internal medicine population and float nursing for the adult population of southeast Michigan Trinity hospitals until ultimately joining the quality improvement world. Elizabeth has a strong belief in the importance of evidence based practice and dedication to the improvement of safety at the bedside that makes HMS – and the Data, Design, and Publications Committee - the perfect fit for her efforts.
